2nd Annual Earthday Thomaston Wave with Recycle Man
A fun Earthday Scavenger Hunt was a big success at the 2nd Annual Earthday Thomaston 2009. The winning team found over 1,000 items including an earthworm (something a bird would eat). The celebration was held in the Bluebird Victory Garden, our community garden and we played with a parachute and sang songs like What a Wonderful World, This Land is Your Land and The Garden Song, our theme song. Everyone had fun planting wildflowers, vegetables and playing recycle bowling with Recycle Man. You are invited to participate in the community garden located at 215 Barnesville Street in the old RC Cola parking lot. We have an Adopt-a-Row program at no charge to residents of Upson County, Georgia. This is a partnership of Greensun Recycling, Barnesville Street Montessori School and other community sponsors.
